Cycle helmets
We are pleased to announce that last night Northern Ireland Assembly members voted in favour of a bill to make the wearing of cycle helmet compulsory. This follows a similar success in Jersey. The bill will need to go through a number of stages before it becomes law. If it does so, cyclists of all ages not wearing helmets will face a fine of £50, which would be rescinded upon proof of...

Headway Teesside Cycle Helmet Scheme
Headway Teesside will soon be launching a scheme to promote the wearing of Cycle Helmets for children.  Headway Teesside is hoping to link up with local schools in the Teesside area to raise awareness of the dangers of riding bicycles without wearing a helmet. More details to follow…
